Sandwich recipe-Ebi & White Sauce Croissant Sandwich


White sauce can be used not only for gratin also suitable for sandwich fillings! This time I added sautéed prawns and white wine into the sauce. If you are tired of ordinary sandwich, why don’t you make one and pack it for your lunch!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ makes two ~
80g Prawns
1/2 tsp Butter
1~2 tbs White wine
2 tbs Canned corn
15g Edamame, cooked

[ White Sauce ]
20g All purpose flour
15g Butter
150ml Milk
Salt & Black pepper to taste
2 leaves Red leaf lettuce
2 slices Cheddar cheese
2 Croissant

 

[ Directions ]

1. Add butter into a heated fry pan. Add prawns, stir fry until changes color.

2. Add white wine, mix well and shut off the stove.

3. Add butter into a pot, let it melt on medium low heat.

4. Add all purpose flour.

5. Mix well, make sure the butter and flour are both well blended.

6. Shut off the stove first and then add milk.

To avoid producing lumps, make sure not to heat up the pot until the roux is all dissolved in milk

7. Mix well until the roux has all disappeared. And then turn on the stove, keep whisking on low medium heat.

8. Once flour is added, it tends to burn on the bottom easily.

Pay extra attention to the bottom corner!

9. Keep whisking until it gets thicken.

10. Shut off the stove, add the prawns.

11. Add Canned corn and cooked edamame.

12. Finally add some salt and black pepper to adjust the flavor.

13. Cut in the middle of the croissant and add lettuce and sliced cheese.

14. Put the white sauce filling in the space and it’s done~!

15. If you have some extra, you can put into ziplock and freeze it!

It can last about 2 weeks! You can use this filling to make croquette~!
