Japanese, Beef dish, Donburi-Gyu-Don/Beef Donburi


Introducing one of very popular Donburi dish.
the taste is similar to well known Gyu-don franchise restaurant!
Now you can save the trip and make on your own at home~!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ serves two ~
200g Sliced beef
1 tbs Honey
1/2 tsp Ginger paste
1/2 Sliced onion

[ Gyu-Don-Soup ]
2 tbs Sake
100cc White wine
200cc Water
2 tbs Soy sauce
1 tbs Sugar
1 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Salt

2 Eggs
1/2 tsp White vinegar
2 bowls steamed rice

[ Directions ]

1. Marinate the sliced beef with honey and ginger paste for at least 15 minutes or over night.

Honey enzyme can soften flesh tissue!

2. Add the sliced onion into a oiled pot, stir fry until translucent over medium heat.

3. Add all of Gyu-Don-Soup ingredients.

4. Add the marinated beef into the pot.

5. Simmer it until beef turns color.

6. Let’s prepare poached egg! Have boiled water ready, add white vinegar. Stir the boiling water to create a swirl in the pot.

This water flow with vinegar can prevent egg white from spreading all over the pot!

7. Gently add an egg in the center of swirl. Simmer it until the firmness you like.

8. Transfer to a plate with paper towel or cheese cloth, remove the excess water.

 Put sliced beef along with soup on steamed rice. Gently place the poached egg on top and enjoy~!!(˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
