Udon recipes, Curry recipes-Pork Curry Yaki Udon

Udon can be served in many kinds of flavor. I have already showed you some curry udon before. This time, I happened to have some sliced pork sitting in the fridge. So I decided to make super easy curry yaki udon!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ serves one ~
200g Frozen Udon
100g Cabbage
60g Sliced pork
2~3 White mushrooms
4 stalks Green beans
25g Curry cube
200ml Water

[ Directions ]

1. Cut cabbage into small pieces.

2. Slice mushrooms

3. Slice onion

4. Cut sliced pork into half or easy-to-serve size.

5. Blanch green beans and cut into small pieces.

6. Warm up a frypan on medium heat, add half teaspoon of oil. Add the sliced onion, stir fry until translucent.

7. Add the mushrooms, keep stirring until light golden brown.

8. Add the sliced pork, make sure to spread each slice evenly.

9. Keep stir frying until it lightly sears.

10. Add cabbage, toss several times.

11. Pour water.

You can use chicken stock instead!

12. This time I used a curry cube. You can chop it before adding so it can dissolve more quickly without burn stuck on the pan.

13. Add the chopped curry cube and mix well.

You may use curry powder instead but it won’t give you any consistency.. 

14. Add frozen udon.

I used Sanuki udon. It’s already cooked and frozen, you can directly add to the sauce without thawing.

15. Cover the pan, keep simmering for two to three minutes or until the udon softens.

16. When the udon is start to breaking up, you can give it stir to mix with the sauce.

17. Lastly, mix in the green beans and it’s ready to serve!
