Pork recipes-Yakiniku-pork & Kimchee


Kimchee can be used in many dishes. Since it’s marinated with lots of chili pepper, it makes your dish very spicy and tasty! This time I used pork and lots of vegetables to make Yakiniku style stir fry dish!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ serves four ~
400g Sliced pork
350g Kimchee
100g Cabbage
1 stalk Green onion
1/2 Potato
1/3 Carrot

2~3 tsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1 tbs Sake
1/2 tsp White sesame

[ Directions ]

1. Shred carrot.

2. Allumette potato

To enjoy potato texture, you may not want to cut into too skinny.

3. Soak in water to remove the excess starch

4. Cut cabbage into small pieces.

5. Cut green onion into short pieces.

6. Cut thinly sliced pork into half.

7. Add Kimchee marinade to the pork and mix well.

8. Heat up a fry pan on high heat, add 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add carrot and cabbage stir fry until the carrot softens and then add potato.

Potato becomes soft and dissolves very easily, try not to cook too long!

9. Add salt and black pepper to lightly taste.

Go easy on salt, you are adding more seasonings on later step.

10. To prevent over cook and maintain its crunchiness, remove from the pan for now.

11. Add marinated pork into high heated fry pan. Lightly sear the surface.

12. Put the vegetable back into the pan.

13. Add Kimchee and mix well.

14. Lastly, add sake, sugar and soy sauce to adjust the flavor.

The amount of the seasonings may be varied depending on the Kimchee marinade.


This dish is super great to go with steamed rice! (˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
