Pasta recipes-Goma-miso Pork Shabu & Syun-giku Wafu cream Pasta

Syun-giku is one of my favorite vegetables. It’s commonly used for a hot pot. To fully enjoy this vegetable, it should be used for many more dishes. This time I decided to use it for pasta. Since It has very unique fragrance, it can be coordinated go with rather rich strong flavor sauce to balance up. I chose miso and sesame combination. It has carbonara-like texture but rather Japanese dish style. Oh,, don’t worry… If you don’t have Syun-giku available near by, you can use spinach or kale instead. You can still fully enjoy wonderful pasta!!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ serves one ~
100g Spaghetti
80g Sliced pork
One bunch Syun giku
*Spinach or kale can be substituted
[ Goma miso cream pasta sauce ]
2 tsp White sesame
2tbs White sesame powder
15-20g White miso
2 tbs Heavy cream

One sprinkle Shredded nori

[ Directions ]

First of all, prepare Goma miso sauce. Add white sesame into a food processor, grind into coarse powder.

You can also use a mortar to grind it. Otherwise chop it on a cutting board…

2. Mix all the [ Goma miso cream pasta sauce ] in a bowl.

3. Cut sliced pork into 4-5cm length.

You can use sliced beef instead.

4. Wash shyun-giku or spinach.

Syun-giku is one of commonly used vegetables for a hot pot. It has very unique fragrance, it’s also suitable for salad.

5. Since pasta sauce preparation doesn’t take up much of time, you can go ahead and start cooking pasta at this point.

6. Heat up a fry pan over medium heat, add the sliced pork.

7. Spread each slice evenly and sprinkle salt & black pepper. Saute both sides.

8. And then add the Goma miso cream pasta sauce.

9. Toss it until sesame aroma comes out.

10. Now you can add the pasta into it.

11. And Syun-giku…

12. Stir fry it for a few seconds.

After adding pasta and green vegetables, try finishing up as quickly as possible. otherwise pasta gets soggy and green goes pail..


13. If it’s reduced too much and there’s not enough sauce, you can add some of the pasta boiling water.

14. Lastly, add some salt and black pepper and dish up with some shredded nori on top!
