Beef recipe,BBQ recipe-Kushi-Yaki Beef in Ethnic Style


It’s getting much warmer outside. Thinking about out door meal? Here’s suitable recipe you may want to try. I used beef finger ribs marinated with curry powder. Using a hot grill pan cook until golden brown but still rare inside. You can enjoy nice and juicy one bite size tasteful beef. I also prepared sweet and sour onion sauce. It can give one more twist to the flavor!

[ Ingredients ] *tsp=tea spoon tbs=table spoon
~ serves two ~
4 strips beef finger ribs
1/2 green pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
2 mini tomatoes
1 stalk Rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbs curry powder
[sweet & sour onion sauce]
1/8 red onion
1 stalk chili pepper
2~3 stalks coriander
1 tbs sugar
3 tbs vinegar
1/2 tbs honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Some squeeze of lemon
4 leaves lettuce
2 bowls of steamed rice
2 tsp sliced almond,roasted

[ Directions ]

1. This time I’m using beef finger ribs. I usually use this part for stewing. But since It contents well marbled fat running inside and has nice crunchiness, it’s also suitable for BBQ.

2. Cut into about 1.5 cm.

It’s surrounded by tendon. It’s hard to bite off. Make sure to cut into one bite size.

3. Add salt and pepper for the basic flavor.

4. Add curry powder.
POINT-ENG

You can increase the amount to your preference.

5. Mix well make sure every piece gets evenly covered. let it sit for about 10 minutes to penetrate the flavor.

6. While waiting, you can prepare onion sauce. First, make incisions vertically without cutting apart.

7. Slide in the knife horizontally.

8. And then start cutting into super fine dices.

9. To remove sharp onion flavor, you can wrap with paper towel or cheese cloth and wash under ruining water.

10. Place into a bowl and add chopped chili prepare and coriander.

11. And add other seasoning listed above.

You can adjust the flavor if needed.

12. Add some squeezed lemon can give nice citrus fragrance.

13. Cut all the peppers into small pieces.
POINT-ENG

Make sure to cut into the same size as beef or smaller to so that meat can make a full contact to the pan after being skewed.

14. Skewer meat and vegetables one after another.
POINT-ENG

Vegetables can be replaced with whatever you like to use. Onions,zucchini,eggplant are all suitable.

15. You can squeeze in some Rosemary between.

16. This time I’m using a grill pan. Make sure to heat up well before placing food.
POINT-ENG

You could also use a regular fry pan.

17. When the pan reaches high temperature you can place skewered food.

18. Gently press the whole skewers to let all the meat fully touch to the pan.

19. Once one side turning into golden brown you can turn over. Keep cooking until the way you like your meat. Finally you can serve with sweet and sour onion sauce and bowl of rice & nuts.
POINT-ENG

you can also use an oven. Put into 250 Celsius preheated oven and cook until surface gets slightly golden brown and remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes or so to use residual heat to continue cooking.
